For the Beef

  • 2 pounds Sirloin Steak or Chuck Roast Feel free to substitute with stew meat for a leaner option.

For the Seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt Adjust according to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper Freshly ground is best.
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder

For the Cooking Liquid

  • 1 cup Low-Sodium Beef Broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce Substitute with low-sodium soy sauce if preferred.
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce

For Flavor

  • 4 cloves Garlic Minced, fresh is recommended.
  • 4 sprigs Fresh Thyme Or 1 tsp dried.

For the Sauce

  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted Butter Divided, stirred in at the end.

For the Finish

  • Fresh Parsley or Red Pepper Flakes For garnish.

How to Make Crockpot Steak Bites

  • Pat the beef cubes dry using paper towels. Toss them in a mixture of salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and onion powder until well-coated.
  • In a skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Sear the beef cubes in batches for 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown.
  • Transfer the beef to your slow cooker. Add the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, minced garlic, and thyme. Stir gently to combine.
  • Cover the crockpot and set it on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours.
  • In the final 10 minutes of cooking, stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley or red pepper flakes just before serving.

Notes

Serve with crusty artisan bread to soak up the sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
