Cooking Instructions

  • Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper, ensuring each piece is well-covered.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the salmon skin-side down. Sear for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown, then flip and cook the other side for an additional 4-5 minutes until just cooked through.
  • Remove the salmon and set aside.
  • Reduce the heat to medium. Add unsalted butter to the skillet and sauté the finely chopped shallot and minced garlic for approximately 2 minutes until soft.
  • Deglaze the pan with the dry white wine, scraping up any brown bits. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Stir in the heavy cream, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and optional chili flakes. Simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  • Fold in the fresh dill and return the salmon pieces to the skillet. Warm through for about 2 minutes.
  • Serve immediately, draping extra sauce over each salmon fillet.

Notes

Optional: Garnish with additional fresh dill or a lemon wedge for extra flavor.
