For the Casserole

  • 2 cans Cinnamon Rolls approx. 20 oz / 570g total
  • 1/2 cup Butter melted
  • 1/3 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 3/4 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 3 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Ground Nutmeg
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Pecans

For the Glaze

  • Cinnamon Roll Icing from the roll packages

How to Make Overnight Cinnamon Roll French Toast

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x12 inch casserole dish.
  • In a mixing bowl, melt the butter, whisk in the granulated sugar until well combined, then add eggs, heavy whipping cream, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract.
  • Cut the cinnamon rolls into quarters and coat each piece with the custard mixture. Layer in the greased dish and pour the remaining custard on top.
  • Sprinkle chopped pecans generously on top of the casserole.
  • Bake for about 35-40 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Remove from oven and drizzle the warmed icing from the cinnamon roll packages over the top before serving warm.

Notes

This dish can be prepared ahead of time for convenience. Top with fresh berries or whipped cream for added indulgence.
