Ingredients
  

For the Flatbread

  • 3 cups All-Purpose Flour or whole wheat flour for a heartier flavor
  • 1 tablespoon Instant Yeast or active dry yeast, proofed
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar honey can be used as an alternative
  • 1 teaspoon Salt sea salt offers a unique taste twist
  • 1 cup Warm Water approximately 110°F for yeast activation
  • 1 cup Greek Yogurt plain yogurt works as well
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil or melted butter as a substitute

For the Flavor

  • 1 cup Feta Cheese (crumbled) or ricotta for a milder flavor
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley or cilantro/chives as substitutes
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Dill or Oregano mix based on preference
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced) or garlic powder if fresh is unavailable

For Brushing

  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter (melted) plant-based butter for vegan option

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt until well mixed.
  • Add the warm water, Greek yogurt, and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Stir until a shaggy dough forms.
  • Flour your surface gently and knead the dough for about 6–8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Fold in the crumbled feta cheese, fresh herbs, and minced garlic until evenly distributed.
  • Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm spot for 45–60 minutes until it has doubled in size.
  • Once risen, punch down the dough and divide it into 8 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a flat circle, around ¼-inch thick.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook each flatbread for 1–2 minutes per side until light golden and puffy.
  • Brush the hot flatbreads with melted unsalted butter for a rich finish. Serve warm.

Notes

Optional: Sprinkle extra feta on top before serving for added flavor.
