  • 1 ½ cups fresh strawberries, hulled and diced
  • 2 medium jalapenos, chopped (seeds removed for less heat)
  • ½ cup bourbon
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Prepare ingredients by washing and hulling the strawberries and chopping the jalapenos. Wear gloves when handling jalapenos.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine strawberries, jalapenos, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, ketchup, bourbon, and garlic powder. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil while stirring frequently. Reduce heat and let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Blend the mixture using an immersion blender or transfer to a regular blender until smooth.
