Description

Southern Peach Tea is the ultimate summer refresher, blending the sweet, juicy flavor of ripe peaches with robust black tea. This easy-to-make beverage captures the essence of warm afternoons spent on porches, bringing a delightful taste to any gathering. Perfectly sweetened and served over ice, it’s sure to make everyone smile as they sip on this refreshing treat.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe peaches, sliced
  • 4 black tea bags
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 cups filtered water
  • ½ cup fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Wash and slice the peaches into wedges.
  2. Boil 4 cups of water in a medium saucepan. Add the black tea bags and steep for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove the tea bags and stir in 1 cup of sugar until dissolved.
  4. Add peach slices and lemon juice to the warm tea mixture. Simmer on low heat for 10 minutes.
  5. Allow to cool to room temperature, then transfer to a pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  6. Serve over ice, garnished with additional peach slices or mint leaves if desired.
