- 3 ripe peaches, sliced
- 4 black tea bags
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 cups filtered water
- ½ cup fresh lemon juice
Instructions
- Wash and slice the peaches into wedges.
- Boil 4 cups of water in a medium saucepan. Add the black tea bags and steep for 5 minutes.
- Remove the tea bags and stir in 1 cup of sugar until dissolved.
- Add peach slices and lemon juice to the warm tea mixture. Simmer on low heat for 10 minutes.
- Allow to cool to room temperature, then transfer to a pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Serve over ice, garnished with additional peach slices or mint leaves if desired.
