  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually mix in dry ingredients alternately with milk until just combined.
  5. Fill cupcake liners two-thirds full and bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely before frosting.
  6. For the frosting, beat together butter and cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract until fluffy.
