- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
- Toss sliced strawberries with 1/4 cup of sugar and set aside to macerate.
- In a bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Add one egg and 1/2 cup sugar; mix until well combined.
- In another bowl, combine the yellow cake mix with melted butter and the remaining egg until no dry spots remain.
- Layer half of the cake batter in the prepared dish, followed by the strawberries and dollops of cream cheese mixture. Top with the remaining cake batter.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown on top and set in the center. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
