Ingredients

  • 4 medium ripe pears, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar, divided
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, divided
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, toss sliced pears with half of the brown sugar and half of the cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, mix flour, oats, remaining brown sugar, ground ginger, and cinnamon. Add cold butter and mix until crumbly.
  4. Layer the pear mixture in a baking dish and sprinkle the crumble topping on top.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
