- 1 lb 80/20 ground beef
- 1 medium yellow onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and diced onion for about 5 minutes. Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Add ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper to the skillet; mix well.
- Combine the cooked pasta with the beef mixture until all noodles are coated evenly.
- Layer half of the pasta mixture in the prepared baking dish, sprinkle half of the cheese on top, add the remaining pasta mixture, and finish with more cheese and breadcrumbs on top.
- Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
