  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 medium green cabbage, chopped
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until cooked through, about 5 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add onion and garlic; cook until fragrant and translucent, about 3 minutes. Stir in chopped cabbage and cook until slightly wilted, around 5 minutes.
  4. Mix in diced tomatoes and beef broth; season with salt and pepper.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and top with cheddar cheese.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes; then uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes until bubbly.
