  • 8 oz spaghetti or linguine
  • 4 medium ripe tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about one minute until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the chopped tomatoes and simmer for about five minutes until they soften into a sauce.
