- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix together pumpkin puree, eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- For the cream cheese swirl, beat softened cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth.
- Fill each muffin liner two-thirds full with batter. Add a dollop of cream cheese mixture on top and cover with remaining batter. Use a toothpick to gently swirl.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool slightly before serving.
