Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound fresh sea scallops
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the scallops under cold water and pat them dry thoroughly with paper towels.
  2. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  4. Add the scallops without overcrowding the pan; sear for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
