Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar, divided
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup whole milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, combine fresh blueberries with half of the sugar (1/2 cup) and let sit to release juices.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and the remaining sugar (1/2 cup).
  4. Melt the butter and mix in the milk. Combine this mixture with the dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Spread the blueberry mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish and dollop the batter over the top.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
