Description

Mango Sago is a vibrant tropical dessert that captivates with its delightful combination of sweet ripe mangoes, creamy coconut milk, and chewy sago pearls. Ingredients

  • 2 ripe mangoes (about 400g, diced)
  • 1/2 cup sago pearls (approx. 100g)
  • 1 cup full-fat coconut milk (240ml)
  • 1/2 cup water (120ml)
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar (30g)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the sago pearls under cold water until clear. In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil and cook the sago for 10-15 minutes until translucent. Drain and rinse with cold water.
  2. In another saucepan, combine the coconut milk, water, and sugar over medium heat until dissolved.
  3. Peel and chop the mangoes, reserving some for garnish.
  4. Mix the cooked sago with the coconut milk mixture and most of the mango cubes; chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour.
  5. Serve in bowls, garnished with reserved mango pieces and extra coconut milk if desired.
