  • 2 cups jasmine rice
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup brown gravy (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 green onions, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rinse jasmine rice under cold water until clear. Cook in 4 cups of water: bring to boil, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 18 minutes.
  2. Season ground beef with salt and pepper; form into four patties. Cook in a skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes on each side.
  3. In another pan, fry eggs sunny-side-up until whites are set and yolks are runny, about 3 minutes.
  4. Prepare brown gravy in a saucepan over medium heat; mix in soy sauce.
  5. Assemble by plating rice, topping with a hamburger patty, fried egg, and ladling gravy over the top. Garnish with green onions.
