  • 2 duck breasts (approximately 1 lb)
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Score the skin of each duck breast in a crisscross pattern and season generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Sear the duck breasts skin-side down in a hot skillet over medium heat for 6-8 minutes until golden brown. Flip and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, mix honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and ground ginger to create the sauce.
  5. Transfer the seared duck to the baking dish, pour half of the sauce over them, and bake for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
  6. Let rest for five minutes before slicing and drizzle with remaining sauce before serving.
