  • 8 oz spaghetti or fettuccine
  • 8 oz sirloin steak, sliced thinly
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil and sear the seasoned steak for about 3 minutes on each side until browned. Remove from skillet.
  3. Lower the heat to medium-low, add butter and garlic to the skillet, stirring until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  4. Return the steak to the skillet along with drained pasta; add reserved pasta water and toss to combine with the garlic sauce.
  5. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy; garnish with parsley before serving.
