  • 8 oz spicy sausage, casings removed
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until soft (about 3-4 minutes).
  3. Add the ground beef and sausage; cook until browned (7-10 minutes). Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted. Allow the mixture to cool slightly.
  5. Roll out one sheet of puff pastry in a greased baking dish, leaving excess overhanging the edges. Spoon in the meat mixture, fold over the edges, and place another sheet on top.
  6. Cut slits for venting, brush with egg wash, and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
