- 4 lbs boneless pork shoulder
- 1 large yellow onion, sliced
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup barbecue sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 12 slider buns
- 2 cups coleslaw (homemade or store-bought)
Instructions
- Peel and slice the onion into thick rings and mince the garlic.
- Season the pork shoulder generously with salt and pepper.
- (Optional) Sear the pork in a skillet over medium-high heat until golden brown on all sides.
- Layer the onion rings in the bottom of the crockpot followed by the pork shoulder. Add minced garlic on top, then pour in barbecue sauce and apple cider vinegar.
- Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours until tender enough to shred easily.
- Once cooked, shred the pork in the crockpot and mix well with juices.
