- 2 cups dried navy beans (soaked overnight)
- 1/2 cup bourbon
- 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup ketchup (preferably organic)

- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Soak navy beans in water overnight; drain before use.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until crispy. Drain on paper towels, reserving some grease.
- Sauté chopped onions in reserved bacon grease until translucent (about 5 minutes).
- In a crockpot, combine soaked beans, sautéed onions, chopped bacon (reserve some for garnish), brown sugar, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, bourbon, salt, and pepper.
- Cover and slow cook on low for 6 to 8 hours until beans are tender and creamy.
- Serve hot with extra bacon on top if desired.
