- 1 lb fresh lump crab meat
- 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 large egg
- 2 tsp Old Bay seasoning
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- 2 tbsp olive oil (for frying)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions
- Carefully pick through the crab meat to remove any shell pieces. In a large bowl, mix together the crab meat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, egg, Old Bay seasoning, and parsley until well combined.
- With wet hands, scoop about half a cup of the mixture and form into patties about 1 inch thick. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Cover with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the crab cakes for about 4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the skillet and let drain on paper towels before serving with lemon wedges.
