Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb fresh lump crab meat
  • 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for frying)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Carefully pick through the crab meat to remove any shell pieces. In a large bowl, mix together the crab meat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, egg, Old Bay seasoning, and parsley until well combined.
  2. With wet hands, scoop about half a cup of the mixture and form into patties about 1 inch thick. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Cover with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the crab cakes for about 4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove from the skillet and let drain on paper towels before serving with lemon wedges.
