  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper (red or yellow), chopped
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 4 cups fish stock or broth
  • 1 pound white fish (cod or halibut), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 pound fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound fresh mussels, cleaned
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Red pepper flakes, to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Sauté diced onion and bell pepper for about 5 minutes until soft.
  2. Add minced garlic, dried oregano, and red pepper flakes; cook for another minute until fragrant.
  3. Stir in crushed tomatoes and fish stock; let simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Gently add white fish first, then shrimp and mussels. Cover and cook for an additional 5 minutes until seafood is cooked through.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning before serving.
