  • 2 slices sourdough or ciabatta bread
  • 1 tablespoon butter (softened)
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3 ounces deli ham or turkey
  • 1/4 cup fresh spinach or roasted bell peppers

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven’s broiler on high.
  2. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. On the unbuttered side of one slice, layer deli meats, mozzarella and cheddar cheeses, and vegetables.
  4. Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side facing out.
  5. Place the sandwich on a parchment-lined baking sheet and broil for 2-4 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, then slice in half and serve warm.
