  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. Cook the penne pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta, marinara sauce, half of the mozzarella, and most of the fresh basil. Mix until well coated.
  4. Transfer the mixture to the baking dish, spreading it evenly. Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  5. Broil on high for 5-7 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  6. Garnish with remaining fresh basil before serving.
