- 12 manicotti pasta tubes
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- ¼ cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 large egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook the manicotti until al dente according to package instructions. Drain and cool slightly.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta, half of the mozzarella, Parmesan, basil, garlic, egg, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Stuff each manicotti tube with the cheese mixture using a piping bag or spoon.
- Spread some marinara sauce in a baking dish. Arrange stuffed manicotti on top and cover with remaining sauce and mozzarella.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 10–15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let cool slightly before serving, garnished with fresh basil.
