- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 ½ cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish with nonstick spray.
- Thinly slice the potatoes using a knife or mandoline.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the baking dish. Pour half of the cream mixture over them and sprinkle with half of the cheese. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
- Dot the top layer with pieces of butter.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
