  • 1 medium head green cabbage
  • 3 tbsp gochujang
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp honey (or maple syrup for vegan)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds for garnish
  • 2 chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Slice the cabbage into thick steaks about 1 inch wide.
  2. Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat (400°F/200°C).
  3. In a bowl, mix gochujang, olive oil, honey, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  4. Brush both sides of each cabbage steak with the gochujang mixture.
  5. Grill or roast the steaks for 5-7 minutes per side until charred and fork-tender.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
