  • 34 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and grated ginger until combined.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a zip-top bag or shallow dish. Pour half of the marinade over the chicken and reserve the other half. Seal or cover tightly and marinate in the refrigerator for at least one hour or overnight.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (375°F) or your oven to 400°F.
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade (discard used marinade) and cook on the grill for about 6-7 minutes per side or bake for 20-25 minutes until fully cooked and slightly caramelized.
  5. In the last few minutes of cooking, brush with reserved marinade for an extra flavor boost.
  6. Serve hot with steamed rice or vegetables.
