- M&Ms or chocolate chips (for decoration)
- Pretzel sticks (for decoration)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two round cake pans.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and sugar until combined.
- In another bowl, beat eggs, softened butter, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually combine wet ingredients with dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Pour batter evenly into prepared pans and bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool cakes in pans for about ten minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
- For frosting, beat together powdered sugar, cream cheese, and cocoa powder until smooth.
- Frost the top of one cake layer, stack the second layer on top, then decorate using M&Ms for eyes and nose and pretzel sticks as antlers.
