Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
  • 1 bunch fresh asparagus (about 1 lb)
  • 1/2 cup horseradish cream sauce
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick. Transfer it to the baking sheet and trim edges if needed.
  3. Score a border around the edges of the pastry, approximately 1 inch from the sides.
  4. Spread horseradish cream in the center of the pastry within the scored border. Arrange asparagus spears on top.
  5. Beat the egg with a splash of water and brush it over the pastry edges.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until puffed and golden brown. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
