  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup hazelnut cream spread
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1/2 cup chopped toasted hazelnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a jelly roll pan (15×10 inches) with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, and salt until combined.
  3. In another bowl, beat eggs until frothy. Gradually mix in melted butter until smooth.
  4. Fold the dry ingredients into the egg mixture until just combined.
  5. Spread batter evenly in the prepared pan and bake for 12-15 minutes or until set.
  6. Cool slightly, then roll the cake using a powdered sugar-dusted towel. Let it cool completely before unrolling.
  7. Spread hazelnut cream inside, re-roll without the towel, and place on a serving platter.
  8. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle chopped hazelnuts before serving.
