Ingredients

  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb sirloin steak, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup whiskey (your choice)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium sweet onion, chopped
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Boil salted water and cook fettuccine until al dente; reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season steak with salt and pepper, then sear for about 3 minutes per side. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté onions and garlic until fragrant (about 2 minutes).
  4. Deglaze the skillet with whiskey, scraping the bottom for flavor. Let simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and return steak to the skillet along with drained pasta. Mix well, adding reserved pasta water as needed for desired consistency.
  6. Serve topped with freshly grated Parmesan.
